A Dingo walks past my car door while I'm cooking dinner. At Wallace Hut car park ( Falls Creek ). It didn't notice me in the car and went into the grass a few meters away and started to jump hunt. Then walked back past my door and sighted me.

When I was in elementary school, they told us these guys were extinct. That was 60ish years ago.
There are lots of them around. Just hard to spot and see.
Some fatnastic footage from the A1 there! You're close enough in age to me I'd say to have grown up with Storm Boy on the Coorong.
Thanks, Mark. Yes I loved Storm boy as a kid.
Nice filming and coulour grading
Thank you 😀
Spectacular, Chris...as always!
Thank you! Cheers!
"The End." was really scary.
As soon as they smell or hear you. They normally go into the defencive ball.
Thanks cobba , good round up
Thank you 😀
Fantastic, love the Google maps.😁😁
Thanks, Kevin. Google Earth Studio. Lots of possibilities.
@@ChrisRishworth Brilliant thanks, I will try and incorporate that into my drone vids and yes lots of possibilities there.😊😊
I recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying your content. I would like to know your thoughts on your front suspension fork.
Thanks. The Lauf forks. Very expensive. Carbon fibre. Are they good. I'm still not sure. They do take out some of the bumps. I want to be able to load them up. I'm still fine-tuning. They definitely don't take out as many bumpsas a suspension fork. I think I'm going to like them in the end. . Haven't tested them with corrugated bumps with a load. I've got the ones for 80kg weight and I'm only 70kg. Got told to do this. Not sure if it's right or wrong?. Sorry for a strange answer. I'll know more when I've done a few more tours with them. Cheers Chris.
Great video Chris, hope to see some more snow adventures from you this season
Thanks. As soon as a bit more waterproof clothing arrives. I'll be out.
Hi mate, is the West Kiewa Logging rd a quicker route up than Big Hill? its longer by distance compared to Big Hill Fire Track , curious to know why you took this route??
I used to go that way. Just found this easier. Haven't timed it to see which is faster. ?
Looking at the autumn leaves floating by, was this a liquid amber seed being feasted on?
Yes it was. The King parrots and the Crimsons love them.
Magnificent, thank you.
Thank you.
Thanks 👍 I enjoyed the video. Great photography.
Hello Chris, I would reckon there'd be deep snow there at the moment. Timing is everything. On the flip side, your new sleeping bag would have had a colder test.
I'm sure there would be. Falls creek got 16cm in the last 24 hrs. If my boots weren't wet, I would have stayed. Soon again.
A hot chocolate in that weather is one of the greatest things ever. Good to see you riding again.
Awesome mate. Enjoying this very much.
Thanks, Just got back from Mt Fainter on an overnight fat, snow tide. Editing now. Cheers Chris.
Everything in Australia wants to hurt you. The male platypus has a poison spike on its rear leg.
Yes it does. I've only seen less than 10 in my life. They are very shy. Snow riding tomorrow.
Was that a red-tailed black cockatoo calling in the background? Back during the 1980’s I saw a platypus in that river up towards the Catherine Station. Great fun seeing that and an excellent indicator of the health of the river. Has the area sort of recovered from the fires a decade or so ago?
Thanks, It was a Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo. The trees on the River didn't get to affected by the fire. The trees in the mountains still have that thick growth they get after the fire. Recovering yes but not back to what they were. On the ride the other day there was a Wedge tailed Eagle eating a dead wild dog. Getting ready for some fat bike snow riding. Over night got my new sleeping bag. Cheers Chris.
I've never seen one IRL before 🥹
Been a long time since I saw one. Tried a few times to see this one again with no luck.
Heller ikke så lange turer når Di er så små
I didn't go far with her.
Har du vann med til henne på turene
Yes. She swims and drinks in the ponds when she gets hot.

I understand. They are so beautiful in nature.
Jeg mistet min kavalier får fire år siden, han ble ti og ett halvt år,hjertet hans .han elsket å plukke nyper fra buskene på tyrene våres.men jeg måtte rense Di får frø-da ville han ha di😅
That is so cool.
I was just chatting with a supplier from Sydney and his questions implied that he was convinced that Melbourne, where I am, is just as cold as your video from Mt Buffalo shows.
I grew up in Melbourne. I think he needs to visit Melbourne. Gets cool but nothing like this.
Beautiful
Thanks.😀
Beautiful icicles mate.
Thanks. There should be a fair bit of snow coming in the next couple of weeks. Then, on the bike to capture a winter wonderland.
Why are you so good!!. Brilliant, thank you. I am gonna one day come visit Australia
Thanks, Just got back from a day ride with lots of ice on the side of the track. Winter is here. I'll ride with you when you do. Cheers Chris.
Absolutley stunning Chris, your best to date, brilliant camera work, fantastic video, amazing landscapes and sky. Your editing is top class mate, i love your music too. What more can i say except...Superlative !!!!!! Kevin.
Thank you, Kevin. A bit of everything on this one. I was pruning Almond trees with a battery backpack and an electric chainsaw. Then I injured my back. I was aiming to do a few bike tours before I came back to Victoria. So I've ordered a -20 celsius sleeping bag. Should arrive tomorrow. Then in couple of weeks snow camping, riding. Cheers Chris.
Wonderful.
Thank you! Cheers Chris.
Wow, best video to date. What brand bike rack do you use? It looks really robust, I'm still hunting a second hand one. Last time I was in the Flinders was back in 2002 and loved every minute of it. Can't say the same for my Holden ute.
Thanks, Not sure of the brand. I'll look in the day light tomorrow to see if theres a brand name. It's made for up to 5 inch tyres for the fat bike. The gravel roads were really dusty and corrugated.
“A young Emu crosses the road” …nearly became road kill.
Yes, I wanted to say to the driver slow down. It was close.
Chris, how long did it take for the Mary Peak summit circuit - I bet only 6 hours for you :) Did it way back in 1988 so brought back some great memories. You get some superb footage of the wildlife too, just fabulous !! Cheers, Richard
Thanks, Richard. I think it was about 6 hours. There were 3 guys who walked it in bare feet at the top when I got there. I've always ridden by on the Mawson trail, so was nice to climb it. Need to get back there on the bike for a month to really explore. Sometime ?.
missed your videos good to see new one up was very nice
Thanks, I'm converting my bike to 29 inch wheels as soon as I can. Then selling the van and going fulltime on the bike. Probably take me sometime but has to be done. ( It will be done by next year.) Cheers Chris.
@@ChrisRishworth Nice one hope you don't miss the van too much you put a lot of work into it, 29 inch rims slimmer tyres also ??
Excellent filming Chris. Loved the Zebra Finches and the yellow foot wallabies. In fact all the animals you featured. Red breasted robin and the eagles. I visited the Flinders Ranges in the early 1990s. Fantastic place. Weren't they formed by a huge meteor strike? Like the Lauf fork on your bike. ATB.
Thanks, Alex. It's a great place. They are folded mountains coming from the ocean floor originally. Converting my bike to a 29-inch wheelset as soon as I can afford it. Need to be back on the bike full-time. I went to South Australia to prune Almond trees with a chainsaw. But injured my back after 2 weeks. So back in Victoria for now. Cheers, Chris.
WoW! such beautiful landscapes and wildlife. Your a lucky man to get to experience all that where you live but I feel fortunate that you share it for the rest of us! Thanks and great work. 🦘🌏😊
Thank you. Yes, it is a really amazing landscape. 😀
Hi Chris! Loving your videos as always. You, Iohan (RIP), and Foresty are my inspirations. Do you still use the Allpowers or have you found something better?
Thanks, I haven't used the Allpower for some time as I haven't been on a longer enough trip. My intention is to either go with a 30 watt or 50 watt new panel. Not sure which one yet. The All power can only be used once I stop to charge. Aiming to convert my bike to 29 inch wheels. The fat bike wheels are to slow for real touring in my opinion. So want to be back on the bike full time. It's got to be by next year. Cheers Chris.
@@ChrisRishworthI have added a 29x2.8 wheeler to mine so I have both options but the 29” are indeed much faster except for the really soft stuff. Thank you for the feedback!
I lost my Cavalier 2 months go with congenital heart disease aged 7 ... I was devastated as I have never ever had a better dog and I loved the little fella like nothing else ... friendliness and temperament is absolutely second to none. Anyway I got a little Cavalier puppy last week who is also a Ruby red. I'm pleased he has a completely different character to my lost friend but he is also so loving and friendly so I'm hoping he will have a long life without problems. Thats the sad thing about this breed as they can suffer from different medical ailments but anyone looking for a friendly family dog could look nowhere better ... they are simply the best in my opinion. Can be expensive to buy in the UK but worth the money .. I would recommend that anyone looking to buy should ascertain if the parents have been properly medically checked and are clear for some of the usual problems. I got my new puppy from a properly registered breeder with medical documents to prove parents are healthy .. it doesn't mean the offspring wont get problems but it reduces the risk.
I agree with all the above information. Thanks all your nice words of wisdom. Cheers Chris. Jess is well loving life.
What are you feeding him? Nice work by the way.
Thanks. Chicken.
An excellent study of this kooka! Which station was this filmed at?
Thanks, he was a local at the camp I was staying at. I was pruning Almond trees this was there camp place. South Australia near Manam on the Murray River.
Realy enjoyed Chris thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love your content and very kewl Bike 👍
Thank you.
Your very welcome 🙏
Great video! Thank you for sharing all of these beautiful birds! ✨✨
Thank you too!
Oh wow, so beautiful!!
Thank you! 😊
great capture mate 👍 well done 👍
Thank you.
Wow these guys are just so dang cute! Thanks for sharing.😊
Thanks. They really are.
Bro you are riding too slow
Sorry for that. I must push harder.
Thanks for sharing! Looks quite chunky this echidna!
It does!
I just had another look & this time it looks chunkier haha!
ive done that before but in the snow
Me too in the snow and mud. Cheers Chris.
Great video. Thanks for posting, especially what it was like after the falls. How disappointing the track disintegrates into washouts after that point. That's a real shame because 36km return would make for an awesome ride
Thanks. It would have been great except for the wash outs.
She’s beautiful. I have a Cavalier and the leaves stick to his fur like magnets😀..Hope you had fun de-leafing her. Lovely video.👏
Thanks. She was wet from swimming. All plants seem to stick to her. They are so nice as you know.
Great video, I hope to record birds like you do one day!!!! Now i feel so noobish 😅😅😅😅😅
Thank you. Heading to the Flinders Ranges now.
